Pool Diagnostic & Repair Technician – Skilled Field Technician Role

6190 45th St. N St. Petersburg, FL 33714 • General Labor • Full-Time

Salary Range:  $25 - $30 hour

$60K–$70K+ | Built for Growth | Skilled Trade | Hands-On Field Role

Let’s be real for a second…

If you’re good with tools, mechanics, and troubleshooting, you already know the difference between a job and a skill.

At Trenchless Today, we’re not looking for someone to just “show up and clean pools.”

We’re looking for someone who can diagnose problems, repair equipment, and get systems running the way they should.

Here’s what this role actually is:

You’ll be responsible for service, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and light commercial pool systems.

That includes:

  • Pumps, filters, heaters, and circulation systems

  • Pool plumbing and water flow issues

  • Equipment troubleshooting and replacement

  • Basic electrical and control system diagnostics

  • Preventative maintenance and system inspections

You’ll identify what’s wrong, fix it correctly, and make sure the system is operating as intended.

Now, let’s talk about what makes this different…

You’re not just showing up to do routine maintenance. You’re the person customers rely on when something isn’t working.

That means you’ll:

  • Diagnose issues accurately in the field

  • Perform repairs and replacements with confidence

  • Ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently

  • Prevent small issues from becoming major failures

We don’t just repair pools…We restore function, prevent bigger problems, and give customers confidence their system is handled.

If you’re the right fit, this part will sound familiar…

You’ve worked with your hands in a technical environment.

Maybe:

  • Plumbing

  • HVAC

  • Electrical

  • Home Services and Property Maintenance

  • Mechanical maintenance or equipment service

You understand how systems work—and more importantly, how to fix them when they don’t.

You take pride in doing the job right the first time.

And you don’t need constant direction to get the work done.

What does success look like?

  • Accurate troubleshooting in the field

  • High-quality, lasting repairs

  • Minimal repeat service calls

  • Strong customer trust through professionalism and reliability

  • Clean, professional work

  • And consistent, year-round performance

So if you’re tired of:

  • Doing the same repetitive, low-skill work

  • Being stuck in a role with no growth

  • Employers who don’t value technical ability

  • Or working somewhere that doesn’t value real skill

…and you’re ready for a role where what you do actually matters—

Apply now.

One More Thing…

If this role feels like a strong fit—but you don’t check every box—

Tell us why.

We’re looking for capability, problem-solving ability, and people who take pride in their work.

About Us

At Trenchless Today, we’re not your typical home services company—and this isn’t a typical technician role.

We operate in environments where the problems are real and the work matters. Whether it’s a failing sewer system or a pool that isn’t functioning properly, our customers are dealing with issues that need to be handled the right way.

We combine skilled technicians, structured processes, and a commitment to doing things the right way the first time.

We don’t rely on shortcuts.

We rely on skill, accountability, and people who know how to solve problems in the field.
