On the Road to Wellness is currently seeking per diem Residential Peer Support Specialists to join our Step-Up Step-Down residential team in Manchester.
Per diem staff provide as-needed coverage based on program staffing needs and employee availability. This position is a strong fit for someone looking for flexibility while remaining meaningfully connected to peer support and recovery work.
Because Step-Up Step-Down operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, per diem employees may be offered a variety of shifts as coverage needs arise.

On the Road to Wellness is a non-clinical, peer-led mental health organization that has served adults in Manchester and Derry, New Hampshire, since 1988. Our work is rooted in the belief that healing, recovery, and wellness are strengthened through connection, choice, dignity, hope, and meaningful community.
We provide free peer support services to adults ages 18 and older who are experiencing, have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing mental health challenges. No insurance or identification is required to access our services.

Our Step-Up Step-Down (SUSD) Program is a voluntary, peer-run residential program located in Manchester and operated by On the Road to Wellness.
The program provides short-term, 24-hour peer support in a peaceful, home-like environment for adults who may benefit from additional support while strengthening stability, wellness, independence, and connection to community.
As a Residential Peer Support Specialist, you will use the principles of peer support, including your own lived experience when appropriate, to help create an environment where residents feel respected, heard, supported, and empowered in their own recovery.
Per diem staff are an important part of maintaining consistent residential coverage and supporting the program when additional staffing is needed.

As a per diem position, this role does not include paid holidays, paid time off, health or dental insurance, or retirement benefits.
