Job Description

Little Pearls Pediatric Dentistry is excited to announce a job opening for a Pediatric Dental Front Office Coordinator. This full-time role is integral to our team and provides a pivotal link between our patients and the seamless care they receive. As our Front Office Coordinator, you will be the first face our young patients and their guardians see, setting the tone for a warm, welcoming experience in our pediatric dental practice.

Please note, this is an on-site position, emphasizing the importance of a personal touch and direct patient interaction. We are not offering remote opportunities at this time as the nature of this role requires immediate, on-the-ground responsiveness to our patients' needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet patients and guardians, ensuring a friendly, calming presence upon their visit.
  • Coordinate and manage appointments to ensure efficient running of the dental office.
  • Handle patient registration and the update of records to maintain up-to-date information.
  • Verify and update insurance information and coordinate with insurance providers to claim processes.
  • Inform patients and guardians about treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements.
  • Manage inbound and outbound office communications, including phone calls and emails.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient records and adhere to HIPAA and other privacy laws.
  • Prepare and present treatment plans and financial estimates to patients and guardians.
  • Conduct financial transactions with patients, handle billing, and process payments.
  • Oversee the scheduling of office staff and manage office supplies inventory.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front office area to ensure a pleasant welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a dental practice.
  • Profound knowledge of insurance posting and verification within a PPO practice.
  • Skilled in treatment planning and conducting financial discussions with patients and guardians.
  • Proficient in scheduling appointments and maintaining office calendars.
  • Strong command of dental office software, preferably Open Dental, and capable of navigating digital radiographs and intra-oral cameras.
  • Outgoing and friendly personality, capable of creating a positive and welcoming office atmosphere.
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate and thorough records.
  • Positive work ethic and a great attitude towards work and patient care.
  • Motivated self-starter who takes initiative in the workplace.
  • A dedicated worker and reliable team player who is ready to contribute to a cohesive team environment.
