Started in 2019 by a nearly 30 year veteran of the roofing industry, Jana Zavala, HER Roofing is a small and growing roofing business focused primarily on Residential Re-Roof’s, Repairs, Maintenance, and Gutters in the greater Portland metro area.

Requirements:
Must pass a background check
Valid Drivers License and good driving record
High School or GED required
Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
Comfortable climbing ladders and getting up on a roof
Willing and able to knock doors to hunt for business
Self directed as well as coachable
Strong Organizational and Communication Skills

Expectations:
Attendance at the HER Roofing office in Wilsonville during ramp-up, with increased autonomy as you develop.
Adherence to our sales process.
Self generate leads: 40% of your schedule
Pipeline and CRM Data Management: 10% of your schedule
Estimating using aerial measuring software: 20% of your schedule
Customer presentations: 20% of your Schedule
Sales meetings, accountability check-in’s, and other meetings 5% of your Schedule
Professional Development: 5% of your schedule

Jana Zavala has more than 27 years of experience in the roofing industry. She has trained roofing contractors nationwide on proper installation, specifications, and contractor certifications for major manufacturers. Jana is also a founding member of National Women in Roofing and aims to improve the American roofing industry with her life’s work. She has won Presidents’ Club, Extra Mile, and Raise the Roof awards from manufacturers. She has also been named the vendor representative of the year and was a Western States Roofing Contractors Association (Davis Memorial) Scholarship recipient. She believes in continuing education and has become a RESNET certified green contractor, attends major roofing industry shows, and continuously increases her knowledge on industry-related topics, specifications, and industry studies. Jana is also a professional speaker and enjoys running.
