We are looking for a Pediatric Dental Assistant who is excited to help kids feel comfortable at the dentist! What We’re Looking For:

Experience with pediatric dentistry (preferred)

Dental Assistant Certification

X-ray Certification (or willing to obtain)

Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Getting patients ready for dental procedures.
  • Sterilizing and sanitizing equipment, setting up instrument trays, preparing supplies, and assisting with dental operations all contribute to infection control.
  • When necessary, assist dentists in the management of medical and dental emergencies.
  • Taking excellent care of patients.
  • Dental x-rays are exposed during dental diagnostics, and dental x-ray equipment is cared for.
  • Patients and their caregivers are given information on dental hygiene, oral health, and plaque reduction.
  • Medical and dental histories, as well as patient vital signs, are gathered and recorded.
  • Following the dentist’s instructions for postoperative care.
  • Dental equipment maintenance.
  • Keeping the dental office, from waiting room to dental operatory clean and presentable.
  • Preliminary impressions for study casts are made, we also do intraoral scanning!
  • Maintaining dental equipment inventory and ordering dental supplies.
  • Be reliable, on time and ready to face each day with a smile.

Dental Assistant Requirements:

  • Dental assistant certification preferred, but we are willing to train the best candidate!
  • Certification in dental x-rays preferred.
  • A high school degree is mandatory.
  • Experience with a variety of computer skills.
  • Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proven track record as a reliable, responsible employee.
  • Dental instrument knowledge and sterilizing techniques preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Honest and mature personality but willing to be goofy, we see only kids after all!
  • Have a genuinely positive and friendly demeanor.
