Job Title: Assistant Office Manager/ Patient Coordinator
Position Overview:We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Assistant Office Manager to join our team. This role is front-facing at the front desk but goes far beyond traditional reception duties. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the daily schedule, ensure efficient patient flow, and support both administrative and financial processes within the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the daily schedule to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits accurately
- Proactively fill and maintain the schedule, including reactivating unscheduled or overdue patients
- Add and track pending or incomplete treatments, ensuring follow-through
- Coordinate patient appointments and optimize scheduling flow
- Present and pre-set treatment plans clearly and confidently
- Collect payments, including co-pays, balances, and treatment fees
- Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming front office experience
- Support overall office operations and assist with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental office required
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Confidence in discussing treatment plans and financials with patients
- Experience with insurance verification and billing processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to take initiative and ownership
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
