Your Role
As a Dental Therapist at Legacy Dental, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in all dental specialities, including restorative dentistry and preventive services.
- Assess dental conditions and plan oral health care in consultation with patients and dentists.
- Carry out agreed clinical treatments such as restoration of cavities, placement of fissure sealants, teeth cleaning, and extraction of deciduous teeth.
- Assist in the management of medical and dental emergencies.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Collect and record patient health histories.
- Educate patients on oral health care and preventive measures to maintain healthy teeth and gums.
- Participate in clinic sanitization and infection control procedures.
- Work with the dental team to improve the oral health of patients.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Dental Therapy/Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Current Dental Therapist license, or ability to obtain license prior to starting work.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in dental procedures.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a variety of patients and dental conditions.
- Commitment to adherence of safety and sanitation protocols.
- Proficient in the use of modern dental technology.
- Passion for ongoing education and professional development in dental therapy.
