What You’ll Do

As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant for our Prosthodontist and Periodontist, your role will be essential in supporting complex and specialized care for our patients. Your work will directly contribute to restoring function, aesthetics, and confidence in patients' smiles—while also supporting their long-term oral health.

  • Assist our Prosthodontist and Periodontist in a variety of advanced procedures including crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, soft tissue management, and surgical cases.
  • Place and contour dental restorations as permitted by your expanded function certification.
  • Take high-quality impressions, fabricate temporary restorations, and assist in lab communication.
  • Maintain impeccable infection control, operatory prep, and instrument sterilization—especially for surgical and specialty procedures.
  • Take and process digital radiographs and CBCT imaging as required.
  • Provide thorough pre-op and post-op instructions to patients, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
  • Coordinate efficiently with the clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient experiences and optimized appointment flow.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education opportunities.
