About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and organized Logistics Control Specialist to take ownership of our fleet and equipment operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our drivers, mechanics, and vehicles are operating safely, efficiently, and in full compliance. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership, drivers, and service vendors to keep our logistics running smoothly and support the company’s mission to deliver quality metal roofing materials with precision and reliability.


Key ResponsibilitiesFleet & Equipment Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of all company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Supervise drivers and mechanics to ensure schedules, routes, and maintenance are executed efficiently and safely.
  • Schedule and track all vehicle maintenance, inspections, insurance, renewals, and Fleet Cam monitoring.
  • Maintain complete DOT compliance files and ensure readiness for audits.
  • Coordinate and approve repairs, track costs, and manage asset utilization to optimize performance and longevity.
  • Build and improve systems that increase visibility into asset location, usage, and condition.

Operational Administration

  • Partner with the Controller to ensure financial accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Support billing, vendor payments, and reconciliation of invoices and maintenance records.
  • Keep all operational documentation organized and digital for quick access and transparency.
  • Communicate clearly with internal teams, drivers, and vendors in both English and Spanish to ensure alignment across all logistics operations.

Process Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or simplification.
  • Recommend and implement tools or processes that enhance productivity and coordination.
  • Develop sustainable logistics procedures that scale with company growth.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support a safe, efficient, and compliant operation.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)– required for effective communication with drivers, mechanics, and vendors.
  • Proven experience in logistics, fleet management, or transportation operations.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience with drivers and/or mechanics preferred.
  • Strong understanding of DOT compliance and vehicle safety standards.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a proactive, systems-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency with fleet management or asset-tracking software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on teamwork and accountability.

As the Logistics Control Specialist, you’ll be at the center of it all, ensuring our employees are cared for, our fleet is reliable, and our business keeps moving forward.

Compensation & Hours:

  • Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional Saturday shift: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
