This is not just a back-office role — it’s the engine that keeps our people paid, our equipment compliant, and our operations running strong. If you’re detail-driven, proactive, and motivated to make an impact across both people and performance, we want to meet you.

Our Mission

About the Role

We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll and Logistics Control Specialist to oversee key administrative and operational functions. This role is essential to ensuring accurate payroll processing and maintaining full control over the company’s fleet and equipment used in the manufacturing and delivery of metal roofing materials. The ideal candidate will combine strong organizational skills with a systems-oriented mindset to support smooth day-to-day operations and long-term efficiency.

Responsibilities

You’ll oversee two critical areas of our business: payroll and logistics control. You’ll ensure every paycheck is correct, every truck and tool is compliant, and that systems run smoother every day.

Payroll Administration

  • Process payroll end-to-end (timesheets, deductions, employee payments).
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws and company standards.
  • Keep accurate records and provide reporting when needed.

Fleet & Equipment Oversight

  • Monitor all company vehicles and equipment — scheduling maintenance, inspections, insurance, and renewals.
  • Manage DOT compliance files and ensure readiness at all times.
  • Coordinate repairs and track asset usage for efficiency and safety.
  • Build systems for visibility into where and how our assets are working.

Administrative Support

  • Partner with the Controller for financial accuracy and reporting.
  • Oversee weekly billing and coordination with internal accounts.
  • Manage vendor payments and invoice tracking.
  • Organize and digitize operational records for easy access.

Process Optimization

  • Spot opportunities to automate manual tasks.
  • Recommend tools that streamline payroll and logistics.
  • Develop sustainable procedures that grow with the business.

Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll processing and logistics or fleet management.
  • Knowledge of DOT compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and a systems-focused mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and initiative.
  • Familiarity with payroll and asset-tracking software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required

Who You Are

  • Self-motivated and focused
  • Thrives under pressure and enjoys fast-paced work
  • Solutions-oriented and customer-focused
  • Ready to grow with a purpose-driven company
