Position Summary
Midwest Equipment Manufacturing is looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined Assembly Technician.
This is not a basic assembly-line role. We need someone who can understand how equipment goes together, use tools properly, catch issues, follow instructions, and think through problems.
You’ll assemble equipment and components, help identify parts or quality issues, and work with the team to keep production moving.
Assemble equipment, components, and subassemblies
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools safely
Follow work orders, instructions, drawings, and parts lists
Identify missing parts, fitment issues, and quality concerns
Communicate problems clearly with supervisors and team members
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Help improve processes as the company grows
Mechanically inclined
Experience in assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, repair, fabrication, or another hands-on mechanical role
Able to use common tools safely and confidently
Able to follow written instructions and basic drawings
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Strong work ethic and no-drama team attitude
Able to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work in a manufacturing environment
Experience with equipment, machinery, electrical, welding, or fabrication
Forklift or material handling experience
Experience with ERP/MRP or production tracking systems
