Wald Manufacturing Inc is a growing organization seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple small, family-owned companies. This role is both hands-on and supervisory—you will complete certain transactional work while managing and reviewing the work of bookkeepers and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting across several accounting platforms.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and keeping multiple moving parts organized in a growing, multi-entity business environment.
Day-to-Day Accounting (Hands-On)
Post and review journal entries and adjustments
Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations
Review AP/AR activity for accuracy and proper coding
Perform and review daily, monthly, and annual accounting transactions when needed
Team Management & Oversight
Manage, train, and oversee bookkeepers across multiple companies
Assign work, set deadlines, and ensure consistent accounting standards
Review bookkeeper work for accuracy and completeness
Create and enforce procedures, checklists, and internal controls
Hold team members accountable to timelines and quality expectations
Financial Oversight & Reporting
Ensure accurate monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Coordinate reporting across multiple companies
Identify discrepancies, trends, and risks and escalate as needed
Prepare management reports for ownership
Support year-end close and coordination with CPAs/tax professionals
Systems & Process Management
Oversee accounting across multiple software platforms (QuickBooks Desktop/Online, POS systems, inventory management systems, manufacturing MRP)
Improve workflows, documentation, and automation where possible
Maintain chart-of-accounts consistency across entities
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Prior experience managing or reviewing the work of bookkeepers
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting
Experience working with multiple companies or entities simultaneously
High attention to detail with the ability to see the “big picture”
Comfortable working in more than one accounting software
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online
Experience with inventory-based businesses, manufacturing, retail, or multi-location operations
Process-improvement or cleanup experience
Prior Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant role
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
