Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Laser/Brake Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC laser cutting machines and press brakes to produce parts to specification. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Responsibilities:
Set up, program, and operate CNC laser and brake press equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a laser operator, brake press operator, or similar role in metal fabrication
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/blueprints
Strong math and measuring skills (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Familiarity with CNC programming and controls (preferred)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
