We are in need of a capable, experienced, tech-savvy maintenance technician to manage our buildings facilities. You will be responsible for overall maintenance and repairs to the buildings and its utilities and amenities. As the maintenance technician in charge of the buildings, you will carry out routine and regular inspections to identify possible failures, carry out preventive maintenance, carry out quality checks, schedule repairs, maintain an inventory of parts and provide guidance in case new equipment needs to be purchased or repairs to be carried out.
We expect maintenance technicians to be versatile and well-versed with mechanical stuff, electricals and HVAC.You should also have problem-solving and organizational skills and negotiate and interface with various service providers as and when required.
Maintenance Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out a routine inspection of buildings and equipment to identify any developing issues and notify building management/owners.
- Repair structures and equipment types and engage specialists as and when necessary, and contract labor for that purpose.
- Develop maintenance schedules and procedures
- Ensure air conditioners, heating equipment, electrical equipment, and mechanical equipment remain in perfect working condition.
- Plan and maintain inventory of parts for fast repairs
- Suggest ways and means to improve efficiency, performance, and energy consumption
- Suggest automation where required
- Inspect for end-of-life equipment condition and plan for new purchases
- Be aware of rules and regulations governing building maintenance, fire, and utilities and ensure safety
- We have 3 dog boarding facilities as well as a gym to be maintained so comfort working around animals and looking out for their well being is a must.
- Job will include general maintenance and repair of facilities as well as projects on occasion such as sheetrock, woodworking, tile work and basic plumbing repair.
