About Palette Pro
Palette Pro Painting & Renovation is a full-service painting, carpentry, renovation, and general contracting company serving high-end residential clients across Westchester and Fairfield County, with a growing footprint in South Florida. Homeowners, interior designers, and architects work with us because we pair real craftsmanship with professional project management — clear communication, clean jobsites, and finished work that holds up.
We are looking for a Production Manager / Field Supervisor who can take ownership of projects in the field and make sure they are completed on time, on budget, and to Palette Pro's quality standards.
This is not a position for someone who needs to be constantly managed. We need a proactive problem solver who can lead painting crews, coordinate subcontractors and other trades, communicate professionally with clients, and keep multiple projects moving.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Project & Field Management
- Manage multiple active painting, remodeling, and construction projects from production kickoff through completion
- Visit job sites regularly and maintain strong control of field operations
- Coordinate painters, employees, subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and project schedules
- Review project scope before work begins and ensure crews understand expectations
- Develop and maintain project schedules and short term look ahead plans
- Identify potential delays or problems early and take action before they impact the project
- Coordinate site access, material deliveries, inspections, and other project requirements
- Keep projects moving efficiently from one phase to the next
- Ensure painting projects have the proper labor, materials, equipment, colors, finishes, and site preparation before production begins
Quality Control
- Inspect painting, remodeling, and construction work throughout every stage of the project, not just at completion
- Ensure all work meets Palette Pro's quality standards, project scope, plans, specifications, and client expectations
- Understand and enforce proper standards for interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation, repairs, protection, priming, application, coverage, cut lines, finishes, and final appearance
- Verify that the correct paints, primers, products, colors, sheens, and finishes are being used
- Inspect remodeling work including demolition, framing, drywall, carpentry, flooring, tile, cabinetry, trim, doors, hardware, and other finishes
- Coordinate and inspect work performed by plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other licensed trades as applicable
- Verify dimensions, layouts, elevations, material selections, and installation details before work progresses
- Inspect critical work before it is covered or the next trade begins
- Make sure work is completed in the correct sequence to prevent delays, damage, and unnecessary rework
- Hold painting crews, employees, and subcontractors accountable for workmanship, productivity, cleanliness, and project standards
- Identify deficiencies early and make sure corrections are completed before the project moves to the next phase
- Ensure floors, furniture, fixtures, cabinetry, finished surfaces, landscaping, and other areas are properly protected throughout the project
- Confirm materials and finishes match approved selections and project specifications before installation
- Maintain clean, organized, professional, and safe job sites throughout production
- Conduct detailed quality control inspections and create punch lists as projects approach completion
- Verify all punch list items are properly completed before scheduling the final client walkthrough
- Minimize callbacks, warranty issues, and rework through consistent field supervision and quality control
- Deliver a finished project that meets Palette Pro's standards for craftsmanship, cleanliness, functionality, and presentation
Client Communication
- Serve as a professional point of contact for clients during production
- Set clear expectations regarding schedules, access, progress, colors, finishes, and upcoming work
- Provide proactive project updates instead of waiting for clients to ask
- Address client concerns professionally and work toward solutions
- Represent Palette Pro professionally at every job site
Budget & Production Control
- Understand the scope, labor expectations, materials, and budget for each assigned project
- Track production against the project schedule and budget
- Monitor crew productivity and make adjustments when projects are falling behind
- Minimize unnecessary labor, material waste, rework, and downtime
- Identify change order opportunities and communicate additional work before proceeding
- Verify subcontractor work before approving completion
- Help improve production efficiency and profitability across projects
Team Leadership
- Set clear daily and weekly expectations for crews and subcontractors
- Hold people accountable for quality, productivity, cleanliness, and professionalism
- Solve field problems without allowing small issues to become major problems
- Communicate effectively with project management, estimating, sales, and company leadership
- Help build a culture of accountability, respect, excellence, and results

The right candidate should have:
- 5+ years of painting, construction supervision, project management, or field management experience
- Professional painting/remodeling experience or strong knowledge of painting/remodeling production is highly preferred
- Knowledge of interior and exterior painting processes, including preparation, repairs, primers, coatings, application methods, and finishes
- Strong knowledge of residential remodeling and general construction
- Experience managing painting crews, subcontractors, and multiple trades

Experience with painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, and full home renovations is a strong plus.
