Our doors first opened in Seattle's historic Pike Place Market in 1992, offering a unique food experience to both locals and travelers alike. After acclimating through the crisis in 2020, our company now offers a variety of ways for our fans to enjoy our offerings even when they are unable to make it to our bakery. From Pop up spots throughout the state of Washington, Oregon and California, to Texas and Washington DC and more states to come, to home deliveries and national shipping. Piroshky Piroshky is seeking to add a business development to our team so that we can continue to grow and explore new and fruitful opportunities.


The business development manager is focused on finding new opportunities and creating partnerships that help both the company and corresponding relationships grow, including pop up events, catering, wholesaling, food truck partnerships, and any novel channels for business growth.

The business development manager will at times travel for out of state events, especially for inaugural events so that details can be solidified and protocolized, and event potential can be assessed.

General overview of position role and duties:

  • Create, manage, and track relationships with venues, partners, and other vendors
  • Schedule and post events timely and accurately
  • Track and record event/partnership success for future engagements
  •  Research and create new partnerships to provide best cost for event expenses (i.e. Business accounts for travel, air cargo, etc.), ensuring accounts are set up accurately, payment methods are handled, etc.
  •  Ensure all events are fully staffed with appropriate timing and details (all itinerary information provided including air cargo, flight numbers, U-Haul location, etc.) at least 3 weeks in advance – 6 weeks for out of state events, providing coverage as needed
  • Ensure event calendar is full and complete by 7 days prior to last day of previous month (for example: all April events must be posted by March 24). In event of post deadline changes- must be authorized in writing by multiple departments and upper management staff.
  • Create and manage social media event calendar
  • Hold regular meetings with all necessary stakeholders
  • Ensuring host payments are requested no less than 14 days prior to event date
  • Maintaining provided Company Credit Card, submitting receipts accurately and within the appropriate deadline
  • Ensure kitchen orders are placed no later than 7 days before a bake on-site event
  • Maintain competitive cargo pricing with vendors, researching and staying on top of correct charging and price increases

Experience requirements:

  • Has minimum of 2 years of Business Development experience, required.
  • Experience traveling regularly in a work capacity required.
  • Valid Driver’s License, Legal age to rent vehicle.
  • Have work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Strong proficiency in MS programs, including but not limited to MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Display effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to delegate as well as able to assess and explore which employees can be trained and tasked with duties and responsibilities.
  • Prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of food management systems and is proficient in computer skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US per E-Verify guidelines
  • Obtain and keep current all needed licenses and permits for the position.
  • Ability to lead a team in achieving short and long-term goals.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Have dependable transportation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
  • Excellent time-management skills.

Compensation and benefits:

  • 60k annually and 3% commission on events that meet company income threshold. Commission historically has been up to 4-5k/month, with potential for more.·

Since opening our doors in 1992, we've brought a taste of Russia to the Pacific Northwest. Blending traditional recipes with local flavors, our selection of Piroshkies offering a wide array of choices, both savory and sweet. Since starting our bakery at the Pike Place Market two decades ago we integrated the last of the Northwest into our own traditional recipes. Our Piroshkies are individually made from scratch and hand-molded into their very own unique shapes. 

Our central kitchen is located in Seattle's South Park neighborhood. Here our team works throughout the day & night to produce for stores, catering, pop-up events, wholesale delivery & home delivery.
