Position Overview
The position of Salesforce Business Analyst/Project Manager (BA/PM) serves as a vital intermediary between the client's business objectives and potential Salesforce solutions. This dual-function role combines the analytical and communication abilities of a business analyst with strategic planning, execution, and leadership expertise expected of a project manager. The Salesforce BA/PM collaborates closely with stakeholders to ascertain business needs, ensures that each Salesforce project meets the business needs, and provides value to the client. In addition, they would be responsible for helping identify future business needs and working with the Tectonic solution team to build and communicate the next potential solutions. The Salesforce BA/PM needs to be able to think on their feet and work with a variety of customers, industries, and project types.
Principal Responsibilities
Solution Design and Documentation
- Work collaboratively with Tectonic’s technical teams to architect Salesforce solutions tailored to business demands. Work directly with customer stakeholders to gather business requirements and help determine the steps to create or enhance customers' Salesforce environment.
- Ensure comprehensive and consistent documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate the ramifications of proposed changes on current systems and processes, ensuring that any changes enhance client operations.
Project Planning and Management
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in consultation with stakeholders.
- Manage the team resources efficiently, assign tasks, and supervise progress against established milestones.
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, and modifications to ensure successful project completion.
- Lead regular status meetings and provide comprehensive updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Stakeholder Communication and Change Management
- Perform as the principal liaison between business users, technical personnel, and external vendors.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and interdependencies to all relevant parties.
- Lead change management initiatives, including user training, adoption strategies, and post-implementation support.
- Solicit feedback and adjust project approaches as necessary to maintain stakeholder engagement and satisfaction.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Help formulate and ensure comprehensive test plans, scripts, and scenarios are used to validate the agreed-upon solutions.
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and address any defects or issues that arise.
- Ensure that delivered solutions adhere to best practices and quality standards and meet organizational expectations.
- Document test results and secure approval from all key stakeholders.
Ongoing
- Identify ongoing opportunities for process optimization and automation within the Salesforce environment.
- Remain abreast of the latest Salesforce features, updates, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a business analyst, project manager, or equivalent capacity.
- Demonstrable experience leading Salesforce implementation initiatives.
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Proficiency in business process modeling, requirements gathering/management, and project delivery.
Certifications
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Business Analyst, Platform App Builder) are perferred.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) are perferred.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in Sales/Service/Integration and other Salesforce products
