A detailed-oriented individual with a patient-centric approach in all actions that has the capability to maintain composure and professionalism with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding and compliance with state, federal, and local regulations that affect dental hygiene services. We are looking for someone who can bring dedication and professionalism to our team, making a direct impact on our patients' lives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial dental assessments and prepare patients for oral examinations.
  • Perform routine dental cleanings and assist in the management of oral hygiene problems.
  • Apply preventative materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides).
  • Take dental radiographs and provide the dentist with data about patients' oral health.
  • Educate patients on proper teeth and gum care and promote beneficial dental health practices.
  • Maintain documentation and charts on each patient.
  • Assist in the management and diagnosis of periodontal concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and smooth daily operations.
  • Adhere to strict sterilization and infection control procedures to ensure the health and safety of all patients and staff.
  • Administer local anesthesia to patients when necessary.
  • Utilizing dental lasers for various treatment procedures, laser certification is a distinct advantage.
  • Use dental technology and computer software proficiently to facilitate patient care. 
  • Continuously update skills and knowledge by attending professional training and development sessions.
  • Adhere to all state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Conduct utmost professionalism with respect to a patient's and other team members' privacy.

 

Requirements for Dental Hygienist

  • Valid Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners Dental Hygiene licensure
  • Valid Arizona State Board of Dental Examiners Dental Hygiene anesthesia certification
  • Availability for some early evenings and Saturday mornings.
