Job Duties:

• Manages the commissioning process on various in-house small to medium sized projects
• Performs Commissioning design reviews, submittal reviews and closeout document reviews
• Creates pre-functioning and functional checklists and commissioning plans
• Conducts Commissioning meetings and managing the commissioning process for assigned projects
• Performs field observations and functional testing
• Documents and tracks test results on issue resolution logs
• Creates commissioning deliverables such as final commissioning reports
• Assists in the review and development of staff training and continuing education opportunities
• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Project Manager of Commissioning

Required Experience:

• Eight (8) years full time paid professional experience in commissioning
• Working knowledge of building code, CHPS, and commissioning requirements
• ANSI commissioning certification (CxA, CxT, BCxP, Certified Commissioning Professional)
• Extensive knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems

Education:

• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering, architecture or construction management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in design or construction management with a focus on mechanical systems
• Engineer-In-Training Certification or valid CA Professional Engineering License
• Industry- recognized energy management certification
