Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a refined and courteous dining service to all club members and their guests, ensuring a memorable experience.
  • Assist in the arrangement and setup of dining areas according to the specific club’s standards and upcoming events.
  • Explain menu items and wine lists with expertise, suggesting pairing options that enhance the dining experience.
  • Efficiently manage multiple-course meals, ensuring timely delivery and accurate presentation in line with high culinary expectations.
  • Maintain impeccable personal grooming and uniform standards as per club guidelines.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, side stations, and work areas continually throughout service.
  • Handle special requests, dietary needs, and food allergies with utmost care and precision.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as specified by the senior management and ensure all necessary preparations for the next service are completed.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any issues or concerns that may arise during their visit.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure that orders are executed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the training of new staff members, providing guidance and sharing insights into the club’s service standards and expectations.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations as per health and legal guidelines.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a server, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.
  • Knowledge of world-class service standards and experience with multi-course menus.
  • Deep understanding of food safety and handling procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team and also perform independently as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Capability to manage time effectively, meeting the demands of a fast-paced and intricate dining atmosphere.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education; further training in hospitality or restaurant management is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the club's schedule.
  • A willingness to comply with all legal and organizational policies regarding ethical conduct and professional behavior.
  • A demonstrated ability to handle and resolve conflict in a professional and calm demeanor.
  • Physical stamina and mobility including the ability to reach, kneel, and bend, plus the ability to lift, push and carry a minimum of 25 pounds.
