The Association of International Reciprocal Exchanges, Inc. (AIRE) is excited to announce the availability of full-time Summer Intern positions within our dynamic teams across Finance, Business, and Marketing departments. Our internship is an in-person role based at our corporate headquarters, ensuring immersive and comprehensive exposure to the world of alternative currencies and inter-exchange transactions.
As a Summer Intern at AIRE, you will actively engage in the operations of managing our innovative alternative B2B currency, Sky. AIRE plays a pivotal role in facilitating transactions between over 50 local barter exchanges across the US and Canada. This placement offers a unique insight into the complexities of alternative currency systems and the broader economic impacts they engender.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and execution of financial strategies for AIRE and its associated programs.
- Assist in the analysis and report of market trends to help guide marketing strategies and business decisions.
- Engage in detailed research, compiling data that impacts both local and international exchange markets.
- Support ongoing business operations and processes pivotal to the functionality of AIRE’s currency exchange system.
- Collaborate with team members to prepare presentations and proposals for potential new exchange members.
- Help organize and execute promotional events aimed at enhancing the recognition of AIRE’s cryptocurrency, Sky.
- Contribute to the development of marketing content for various platforms including social media, newsletters, and official blogs.
- Participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance your professional skills and understanding of the finance sector.
- Assist in compliance checks and financial audits to ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.
- Work alongside experienced professionals to understand the nuances of regulation and business ethics in alternative currencies.
Requirements
- Current enrollment or recent graduation from an accredited university, majoring in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A keen interest in alternative currencies and their role within the global market.
- Basic understanding of economics and financial principles.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and present insights in a clear, concise manner.
- Effective teamwork skills with an aptitude for collaborative and independent work.
- Proactiveness and a strong work ethic, with the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms.

Housing may be available.
Employer will pay for up to six (6) hours of transfer internship credit from a partner university.
