Position Overview
Trenchless Today, the nation’s leading trenchless solutions company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Pipe Rehabilitation Trainer to join our growing team. This role is critical to the success and scalability of our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in pipe rehabilitation technologies and will be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive training program for our installation teams across the East Coast and future national locations.
This is a hands-on, travel-intensive position for a highly motivated individual passionate about advancing industry knowledge, standardizing processes, and empowering teams to deliver exceptional trenchless services.
Key Responsibilities
Training Development & Execution
Design, write, and maintain detailed training manuals, SOPs, and safety protocols for all pipe rehabilitation services.
Deliver structured training in controlled warehouse environments and live job-site settings to ensure real-world competency.
Implement a tiered certification program for installation teams (apprentice, journeyman, expert).
Technical Expertise
Serve as a subject matter expert on all major trenchless rehabilitation systems, including but not limited to:
CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe)
SIPP (Sprayed-In-Place Pipe)
Inversion drums and steam cure systems
UV cure machines and robotic cutting equipment
Pipe coating and epoxy systems
Pipe bursting, slip lining, lateral reinstatement robotics
Bypass pumping, confined space operations, and safety compliance
Evaluate and introduce new products, materials, and methods to keep Trenchless Today ahead of competitors.
Industry Engagement
Represent Trenchless Today at domestic and international trade shows, conferences, and vendor trainings.
Maintain relationships with equipment and product manufacturers to stay current on the latest innovations.
Operational Support
Assist regional teams in technical troubleshooting and job planning.
Audit field teams and warehouse operations to ensure compliance with company standards and OSHA safety regulations.
Support recruitment and onboarding of new technicians through structured training programs.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience:
7+ years in pipe rehabilitation or trenchless technology industry.
Hands-on installation experience with CIPP, SIPP, UV curing, robotic cutters, epoxy systems, and other no-dig technologies.
Previous training, coaching, or leadership experience strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of pipe materials, defect classifications (PACP, MACP, LACP), and safety standards.
Familiarity with bypass systems, confined space, and OSHA regulations.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.
Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on documentation and process improvement.
Ability to motivate and mentor technicians of all experience levels.
Other Requirements:
Must hold a valid driver’s license and passport.
Willingness to travel 75%+ of the time (domestic and international).
Comfortable working in challenging environments (confined spaces, wet utilities, construction sites).
