With a reputation for no-dig innovation, high-quality service, and large-scale project expertise, we’re experiencing rapid growth and are looking for a seasoned Sales Director to lead our revenue strategy, sales team development, and market expansion efforts.
Position Overview
The Sales Director will oversee all aspects of business development and sales strategy for Trenchless Today’s multi-state operation. This role is responsible for driving top-line revenue growth, building a high-performing sales team, and strengthening relationships with municipalities, engineering firms, and commercial clients.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep experience in B2B construction sales and a proven track record in multi-location operations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership
Develop and execute a multi-state sales strategy aligned with company growth goals and revenue targets.
Analyze market trends, competitors, and bidding opportunities to identify strategic partnerships and revenue channels.
Establish a strong market presence for Trenchless Today through brand positioning, client education, and industry networking.
Team Development & Management
Build, mentor, and lead a team of regional account executives, project estimators, and business development reps.
Create clear territory assignments, sales quotas, and KPIs to ensure coverage and accountability.
Conduct regular sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and coaching sessions to improve conversion rates and deal quality.
Client & Partner Engagement
Personally manage high-value accounts and RFP responses for municipal and large commercial/industrial projects.
Build long-term relationships with engineering firms, general contractors, and municipal decision-makers.
Represent Trenchless Today at trade shows, industry conferences, and regional events to promote services and develop partnerships.
Operational & Cross-Department Collaboration
Partner with Operations and Project Management teams to align sales commitments with field capacity.
Collaborate with Marketing to develop lead-generation campaigns, educational content, and thought leadership.
Work closely with Finance to forecast revenue, analyze project profitability, and support cash-flow planning.
Sales Infrastructure & Reporting
Optimize CRM tools (ServiceTitan, Salesforce, or similar) to ensure accurate pipeline visibility.
Create a sales playbook with standardized pricing models, bid packages, and client proposals.
Deliver monthly and quarterly reports on sales performance, territory profitability, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive sales experience in B2B construction, engineering, or infrastructure services.
Proven track record of growing sales revenue in multi-location or regional operations.
Expertise in municipal bidding, RFP processes, and commercial project sales.
Strong financial acumen with the ability to forecast and analyze margin performance.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with trenchless technologies, pipe rehabilitation, or CIPP (preferred, but not required).
Willingness to travel extensively across East Coast locations (50-70%).
