Service Technician
About the Role
Aktiv Insight is hiring a Service Technician to support reliable equipment and service operations in Gilbert, AZ. In this role, you will perform hands-on service tasks to help ensure systems operate correctly and customers receive consistent, dependable support.
Success looks like completing service work accurately and efficiently, following safety and quality standards, documenting work clearly, and communicating professionally with internal teams to resolve issues and maintain service continuity.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and scheduled service tasks to support operational reliability.
- Diagnose equipment or system issues using established procedures and troubleshooting methods.
- Repair or replace components as needed, ensuring work meets quality and safety requirements.
- Inspect equipment and systems to identify wear, defects, or potential failure points.
- Test and verify service outcomes to confirm proper operation after maintenance or repairs.
- Complete service documentation, including work orders, notes, and required records.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with teammates to escalate complex issues and support timely resolutions.
- Maintain and use tools and service equipment properly to support efficient job performance.
- Communicate clearly with relevant stakeholders regarding service status and next steps.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical training preferred).
- Experience: 1+ years of hands-on service, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience preferred.
- Technical skills: Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs following established procedures.
- Tools & systems: Familiarity with standard service tools and basic test/measurement equipment.
- Software/tools: Experience using work order systems and basic computer skills for documentation.
- Knowledge: Understanding of safety practices and safe work habits in a service environment.
- Physical readiness: Ability to perform job tasks that may require standing, bending, and lifting as needed.
- Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Communication: Professional written and verbal communication skills for documentation and coordination.

Compensation: $45,000 – $65,000 / year
