Additionally, the appointed Dental Hygienist will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) to ensure the utmost confidentiality and trust in handling sensitive patient information and proprietary company procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform dental assessments and diagnose dental conditions.
  • Prepare treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Provide oral hygiene services including dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and sealant application.
  • Educate patients on oral health and preventive dental care.
  • Assess dental condition and needs of patient using patient screening and monitoring procedures.
  • Analyze x-rays and evaluate dental needs as necessary including preliminary diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with the NDA.
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in dental hygiene practices and procedures.
  • Coordinate with dentists and other team members to provide excellent patient care service.
  • Discuss with patients the health risks associated with poor oral health and ways to maintain good oral hygiene and health.

Requirements

  • Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • Current dental hygienist license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a dental hygienist.
  • Superb manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and the ability to implement these in the work environment.
  • Ability to handle private patient information with confidentiality and in compliance with the NDA.
  • Commitment to adhering to the ethical standards of the profession.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team and to build positive working relationships with colleagues and patients alike.
  • Strong analytical skills and the capacity to make decisions and solve problems efficiently.
  • Eagerness for ongoing professional development and training in dental hygiene.
  • Willingness to engage in community services representing the organization, promoting oral health awareness.
