Position: Roofing Installer

This position is not remote, requiring the successful candidate to actively participate in on-site operations. As a Roofing Installer, the role involves significant hands-on activities, requiring physical dexterity and a keen attention to detail to ensure that roofing installations meet high standards of quality and safety. Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspecting roof structures to determine the best installation procedures and materials.
• Measuring roofs to calculate the quantities of needed materials.
• Preparing and cleaning sites, removing hazards, and safely setting up ladders and scaffolds.
• Installing various types of roofing materials such as shingles, asphalt, or metal.
• Applying adhesives, sealants, or other agents to roofs to prevent water leakage.
• Aligning and laying materials such as tiles or shingles into patterned, secure, and aesthetic finishes.
• Attending and participating in safety meetings to ensure operations remain accident-free.
• Performing roofing repairs and maintenance tasks as needed to maintain roofing lifespan and functionality.
• Ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and legal requirements.
• Operating tools and equipment in a secure and effective manner.
• Collaborating with contractors, construction workers, and project managers to ensure cohesive project execution.
• Handling the installation of roofing structures, including but not limited to, guttering and rainwater piping systems.
• Providing detailed and accurate reports on project progress to supervisors and clients.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly job site by disposing of debris and waste materials in an appropriate manner.
• Continuously updating skills and knowledge in roofing to adhere to the latest in industry standards and technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Roofing Installer or similar role in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with a variety of roofing materials and installation procedures.
• Strong understanding of construction and roofing techniques, tools, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Physical ability to handle heavy materials and stand, climb, or walk for extended periods.
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to excellence in workmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in construction or trade school is a plus.
• Flexibility to work in various outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures and heights.
• Sound problem-solving skills to efficiently address challenges that may arise during roofing installations.
• Commitment to adhering to safety practices and regulations at all times.
• Teamwork-oriented mindset with the capacity to work autonomously when required.
