HR Administrator for Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing Facility

Location: Tempe - 1515 W 17th St, Tempe, AZ 85281 (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-Time exempt, day shift

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.

The HR Administrator provides administrative support across various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, basic benefits administration, and compliance. This role ensures the smooth operation of HR processes and serves as the site primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
  • Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation and exit interviews
  • Screen applicants and schedule interviews
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, under guidance of HR leadership
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Director
  • Assist with coordination of performance review cycles and employee engagement programs
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including ITAR and other compliance regulations

Education & Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1-3 years of administrative experience; HR experience in manufacturing setting strongly preferred
  • Basic understanding of HR laws and regulations
  • Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR requirements (citizen or permanent resident)
