Program Manager / Production Control 

(Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing setting)

Location: CMI Group -  3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040

Shift: Full time, day shift - On-site required, not a remote position.

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.

Responsibilities:

•Participate in daily production and weekly SIOP meetings to provide data and guidance, identify and communicate risk, and lead problem solving efforts including risk mitigation

•Monitor customer backlog including purchase order coverage and schedule changes and ensure the organization and customer are taking appropriate actions to manage the demand signal

•Manage a line of balance to ensure actual part shipments stay on plan

•Review customer orders and forecasts and coordinate all responses including acknowledgment, change requests, and issues resolution

•Understand the customer statement of work and contractual obligations and ensure bilateral compliance and maintenance of all relevant information such as active part numbers, pricing effectivity, and minimum order quantities

•Requires identifying, escalating, expediting, monitoring, and resolving issues related to component availability (purchased and manufactured) and any resource constraints.         

•Complete ownership of assigned parts thru the order to shipment process.

•Develops and maintains production plans for materials planning and SIOP/revenue plans.

•Manage MRP, capacity, lead time, and assembly schedule for assigned products. Ensure adequate workflow to maintain production and meet output and delivery expectations.  

•Create, compile, distribute and track work orders for upper-level assemblies and lower level components. Serve as the primary contact for customer service related to order status and quoting delivery for incoming orders or new quotes.  

•Maintain work order and sales order dates to ensure they reflect current expectations.                                                 

•Maintain and optimize planning parameters such as MOQ, safety stock, lead time, and capacity within ERP system. Execute and refine forecasting processes within the ERP system and the SIOP process.                                                               

•Analyze inventory to determine how to increase turns, avoid excess and obsolete inventory while also ensuring a constant supply of parts to support on time delivery. Manage inventory transitions associated with ECN’s, product rationalization, substitutions, and new product introductions.  

•Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain and monitor part specific details. Establish and improve scheduling systems and associated processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the team and the operation.  

•Serves as subject matter expert for production control and planning, develops and shares best practices and works to advance the skills and capabilities of others on the team.

•Experience in a customer facing role preferred

•Must be able to think strategically and develop and implement new business strategies within the PC environment

•Strong data analysis, problem solving skills and mathematical ability  

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Well Organized.

•Track record of accomplishing assignments on time. Must be a highly organized and self-motivated individual who can manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.  Must be able to adapt to changing situations.

•Bachelor’s Degree

•5+ years of manufacturing scheduling and planning ERP system experience with a portion of support of complex assembled product.

•Syteline ERP experience is preferred but not required.                                                                                                                                             

•Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and preferably Access

•Strong sense of urgency coupled with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dynamic environment.  

•Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills utilized to enable success and drive continuous improvement.

•Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively with multiple levels and functions within an organization
