Financial Planner & Analyst

On-Site Location: CMI Group, 3617 E. La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040 (This is an in-person, on-site position)

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop the Company’s annual operating plan in conjunction with the CFO and the executive team, including department budgets
  • Develop a partnership with the Finance team in reporting, analyzing, and explaining the Company’s monthly results.
  • With the CFO, explain budget variances to department managers
  • Develop and maintain product margin analysis, trends, and variance reporting, including assisting in developing projections for new programs.
  • Assist in the development of annual cost standards, analyzing and identifying root causes for cost changes.
  • Analyze and identify root causes of year over year changes, trends, and variances.
  • Assist in the development of pricing rates.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities where needed
  • Participate in compliance activities during the year. These include but not limited to year-end audits, tax audits, TINA proposals, etc.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis where requested and as needed.

Working Conditions:

Primarily in an office environment. Will be expected to travel as needed to company subsidiaries, as well as to potential acquisition targets to conduct due diligence. Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration and 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience for a manufacturing company or public accounting. Preference will be given to candidates with certifications or advanced degrees and those with experience in aerospace manufacturing.
