Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during various dental and surgical procedures, including but not limited to extractions, implants, all-on-x, root canals, fillings and Invisalign button placement.
  • Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
  • Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
  • Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
  • Assist with dental and surgical procedures including implant all-on-x and be able to place Invisalign buttons.
  • Facilitate office flow of patients in a very timely manner to avoid patient wait times.
  • Be familiar with all scanning equipment including CEREC and iTero.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of dental procedures and sequencing of care or a willingness to learn.
  • Help maintain the dental supply inventory and ensure equipment functionality.
  • Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintain dental records by recording patient treatment and conditions.
  • Enhance dental office reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Requirements

  • Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assisting program.
  • Proven experience as a dental assistant or willingness to learn under professional supervision.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with team members and patients.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities for facilitating smooth office and patient flow.
  • Punctuality and reliability in attendance, presentability, and a commitment to professional growth.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and a passion for delivering excellent patient care.
  • Strong ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
