As a Dental Assistant at Central Valley Dentistry, you will be at the heart of our operations, directly impacting our patients' care and comfort. Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including but not limited to extractions, root canals, and fillings.
- Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
- Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
- Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
- Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
- Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
- Assist with dental and surgical procedures including implant all-on-x and be able to place Invisalign buttons.
- Facilitate office flow of patients in a very timely manner to avoid patient wait times.
- Be familiar with all scanning equipment including CEREC and iTero.
- Help maintain the dental supply inventory and ensure equipment functionality.
- Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain dental records by recording patient treatment and conditions.
- Enhance dental office reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements
- Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assisting program.
- Proven experience as a dental assistant or willingness to learn under professional supervision.
- Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect effectively with team members and patients.
- Exceptional organizational abilities for facilitating smooth office and patient flow.
