Looking or A Dental Treatment Coordinator at our office in North Phoenix . Dental Treatment Coordinator plays a key role in a dental practice by helping patients understand and move forward with their treatment plans while keeping the office schedule and finances organized. It's part customer service, part administration, and part sales support
Key Responsibilities
1) Patient Communication
-Explain diagnosis and recommended treatment plans to patients, coordinating appointments, handling financial arrangements, and ensuring patients feel informed and comfortable about their care.
-Answer patient questions about procedures, timelines, and outcomes
-Build trust and maintain a positive patient experience
-Confirms appointments two days in advance
2) Treatment Planning and Case Presentation
-Review treatment plans created by the dentist
-Present options, prioritize procedures, and discuss urgency
- Help patients to commit to and schedule treatment
3) Scheduling and Coordination
-Schedule appointments based on treatment priority and availability
-Coordinate multi-visit or complex procedures
-Manage cancellations and follow-ups
4) Financial Coordination
-Explain costs, insurance coverage, and out-of-pocket expenses
-Offer payment plan options or financing solutions
-Verify insurance benefits and submit pre-authorizations
-Present alternative ways to pay via Cherry or Care credit
5) Insurance and Administrative Tasks
-Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims and approvals
-Track pending treatments and follow up with patients
-Maintain accurate patient records in dental software systems
6) Case Acceptance and Practice Growth
-Encourage patients to proceed with recommended care
-Monitor treatment acceptance rates
-Support office production goals
Required Skills and Qualifications
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
-Experience with Dentrix practice management software
-Understanding of dental insurance and billing processes
-Organizational and multitasking abilities
-Sales or customer service experience (often preferred)
Education and Experience
-High school diploma or equivalent (required)
-Dental assisting, front office, or administrative experience (preferred)
