Field Service Technician

Salary Range:  $22.50 - $25.00 hour

Humareso’s client is a recognized leader in the design and manufacturing of high-end industrial furnaces serving critical industries including aerospace, defense, and medical device manufacturing. They are currently seeking a skilled Field Service Technician with an Electrical Assembly background to join their growing team.

This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys balancing in-house technical assembly work with field service responsibilities. Based out of the Aston, PA headquarters, you will function primarily as an in-house mechanic/assembler supporting furnace production, while also traveling to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed. Expected travel is limited to approximately 10 business days per month, with a maximum of 5 days per trip. A typical workload consists of approximately 75% in-house work in Aston, PA and 25% on-site customer support.

Responsibilities

  • Support the assembly and production of industrial furnaces.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues with precision and provide timely solutions to ensure minimal downtime.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support, both remotely and in person.

  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to improve product design and service delivery.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.

Travel Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer locations to install new furnaces and conduct on-site repairs and maintenance.

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to uphold company standards of reliability and efficiency.

  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, preferably with industrial equipment.

  • Technical degree or certification in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to machinery.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and manufacturing drawings.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to manage stressful situations professionally.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

  • Valid driver’s license and passport, or ability to obtain a passport.
