Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to support our day-to-day financial operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely billing, and smooth coordination between accounting and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Generate and send customer invoices
• Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts
• Assist with job costing and tracking service-related expenses
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
• Support payroll processing and reporting
• Assist with month-end close and financial reports
• Communicate with customers regarding billing questions as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (service industry preferred)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Professional communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with service-based businesses (HVAC, plumbing, construction, etc.)
• Familiarity with job costing and dispatch/service software (e.g., Razor Sync)
