Position Summary Responsible for leading and optimizing the company’s Information Systems and Technology Operations environment, including enterprise applications, MSP-managed infrastructure, vendor relationships, and operational technology initiatives. The Senior IS / IT Manager collaborates closely with executive leadership, operations, finance, fabrication, and field teams to ensure technology systems remain reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Success in this role is defined by operational stability, project execution, service delivery performance, strong communication, accountability, continuous improvement, and the ability to translate business needs into practical technology solutions that support company growth. Role and Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day IT operations in partnership with Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
- Serve as the primary operational liaison between business stakeholders and MSP partners
- Monitor service levels, incidents, escalations, and resolution performance to ensure operational continuity
- Coordinate operational support for:
- Endpoint management
- Network and connectivity
- Cloud infrastructure and services
- Backup and disaster recovery systems
- User provisioning and access management
- Cybersecurity monitoring and remediation support
- Provide operational ownership and administration of enterprise business applications including:
- Procore
- Foundation
- Tekla PowerFab
- Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Reporting, analytics, and collaboration platforms
- Manage software licensing, user access controls, application support, vendor relationships, and change management processes
- Ensure enterprise applications maintain stable performance, usability, and business alignment
- Coordinate user training, adoption efforts, and documentation for supported systems
- Execute technology initiatives and projects aligned with the enterprise IT roadmap established by executive leadership
- Coordinate cross-functional projects involving operations, estimating, fabrication, finance, and field teams
- Support project activities including:
- Planning and scheduling
- Resource coordination
- Risk and dependency tracking
- Status reporting
- Testing and deployment
- Go-live and cutover support
- Manage vendor and consultant performance, ensuring accountability to service expectations and contractual commitments
- Support execution of IT governance standards, policies, procedures, and operational controls
- Maintain technology documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repositories
- Identify opportunities for automation, process standardization, and operational efficiency improvements
- Prepare operational dashboards, KPI reporting, and status updates for executive leadership review
- Support IT budgeting, forecasting, and technology planning initiatives
- Build scalable operational processes and documentation standards to support future organizational growth
- Respond promptly to internal customers with professional, solution-oriented communication
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support company growth and operational success
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 10–12+ years of progressive IT experience with increasing operational responsibility
- Experience managing enterprise applications and IT operations environments
- Experience working within MSP-supported environments
- Strong project coordination and vendor management experience
- Solid understanding of:
- IT operations and service delivery
- Infrastructure and cloud support
- Enterprise application management
- Technology governance and operational controls
- Cybersecurity fundamentals and operational best practices
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously
Ability to work independently while remaining aligned to executive direction and business priorities
Preferred
- Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or project-based environments
- Experience supporting:
- Procore
- Construction accounting systems
- ERP platforms
- Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Power Platform
- Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks and compliance controls
- Experience leading operational improvement and systems optimization initiatives
- PMP, ITIL, Procore, Microsoft, or related certifications
