Position Summary 

MMI Industrial & Steel is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator/Office Supervisor to join our team in Mesa, Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of human resources experience and be bilingual in Spanish and English. This role oversees employee records, supports supervisors in utilizing HR systems effectively, and facilitates HR processes to ensure compliance and organizational efficiency. 

 

Role and Responsibilities 

1. Liaison with Outsourced HR Support Service and SHRM: 

Collaborate with an outsourced HR support service to ensure compliance with HR policies and practices. 

Utilize SHRM as a resource for HR networking, forums, and guidance on best practices. 

Facilitate effective communication and reporting between managers and eBacon to support HR initiatives. 

 

2. HR System Utilization: 

Train and support supervisors in the proper use of eBacon for employee reviews, write-ups, performance improvement plans, policy acknowledgments, and documentation management. 

Ensure accurate record-keeping within eBacon and coordinate HR-related data tracking. 

Collaborate with eBacon to identify areas for improvement or customization based on MMI's specific needs. 

 

3. Supervisory Responsibility: 

Lead and manage the front desk and reception area staff, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for visitors and employees. 

Provide guidance and direction to administrative staff to optimize their performance and efficiency. 

Develop and maintain administrative procedures to streamline daily operations. 

 

4. HR Administration: 

Oversee the creation and maintenance of employee records, including personnel files and benefits documentation. 

Assist in the recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring all required documentation is completed and filed. 

Handle sensitive HR-related matters with discretion and confidentiality. 

 

5. Bilingual Communication: 

Effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking employees and assist in translating HR materials as necessary. 

Act as a bridge between English and Spanish-speaking employees to facilitate clear communication. 

 

Qualifications and Experience 

Minimum of 3 years of human resources experience. 

Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required. 

Knowledge of HR software and systems, with the ability to train others. 

Familiarity with SHRM resources and HR best practices. 

 

Skills 

Proficiency in HR systems and reporting tools, particularly eBacon. 

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 

Strong leadership and supervisory skills. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance. 

Ability to balance multiple priorities and work independently.
