Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance & Controls Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and commissioning of industrial production and processing equipment.

This is a highly hands-on position requiring a strong combination of industrial controls, electrical troubleshooting, instrumentation, and mechanical maintenance experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with PLC/DCS environments while also performing mechanical repairs involving conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety policies and regulations.
  • Partner with Engineering to install, test, commission, and release equipment into production.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain industrial production, processing, pipeline distribution, and conveyor systems.
  • Troubleshoot various PLCs and DCS architectures.
  • Support industrial networking including EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet.
  • Troubleshoot AC drives/VFDs, motors, encoders, and resolvers.
  • Calibrate and troubleshoot flow, level, pressure, and temperature devices and control loops.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs involving bearings, conveyors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
  • Perform gearbox and conveyor rebuilds as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform industrial maintenance welding.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders within a CMMS.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, technical drawings, manuals, work orders, test results, and machine error messages.
  • Inspect equipment and components for damage, wear, and potential failure.
  • Observe and test operating machinery to diagnose equipment problems.
  • Safely operate hoists, lifts, grinders, hand and power tools, welding equipment, and electrical/testing equipment.
  • Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have hands-on industrial maintenance experience that includes:

  • DCS architecture experience
  • PLC troubleshooting
  • AC drive/VFD and resolver troubleshooting
  • CMMS documentation
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Gearbox and conveyor rebuilds
  • Rotating equipment maintenance
  • Industrial maintenance welding
  • Motors, encoders, bearings, and conveying systems
  • Industrial networking and communications
  • Instrumentation and process-control calibration
  • Reading electrical/mechanical schematics and technical drawings
  • Troubleshooting automated manufacturing or processing equipment

Additional Compensation

Weekly bonus opportunity in addition to base compensation.
