Bugged Pest Control is a startup residential pest-control company launching in the Austin market. We’re looking for an experienced, licensed applicator to become our Responsible Certified Applicator and the founding member of our field team.
You’ll initially serve as both the company’s RCA and primary pest-control technician. You’ll service our first customers, establish treatment standards, improve operating procedures, and shape how Bugged delivers service from day one.
As we add customers and technicians, this position is intended to grow into field leadership, technician training, quality control, and operations management. We want someone who can help build—and eventually lead—the team.
You’ll work directly with the founder and have the authority to stop unsafe or noncompliant work.
We are building a premium service company, and professionalism is not negotiable.
The right person:
Dependability is every bit as important as technical ability. We need someone who can be counted on as the company’s first field leader.
First-year milestone bonuses may be tied to accomplishments such as launch readiness, completion of operating procedures, recurring-customer growth, service-quality benchmarks, and successfully onboarding and training additional technicians.
Six-figure compensation is possible but not guaranteed. Total earnings will depend on base salary, applicable overtime, qualifying commissions, milestone achievement, individual performance, and company growth.
Bugged plans to add a door-to-door sales program early in the company’s growth, so D2D sales, recruiting, training, or leadership experience is a significant plus.
Wildlife and termite experience are not required. Termite certification and experience are preferred because they may create additional opportunities as Bugged expands its services.
This role is best for someone who wants to help build a company and take ownership of how it operates.
During the initial stage, you may help with vehicle setup, equipment testing, inventory planning, treatment procedures, field technology, customer feedback, sales processes, and technician-training systems in addition to performing services.
Priorities will sometimes change quickly. The successful candidate will be flexible, resourceful, comfortable making recommendations, and willing to solve problems beyond a narrowly defined technician job description.
Bugged was founded by an entrepreneur with experience building and scaling multiple businesses. Our objective is to build Bugged into one of the top 100 pest-control companies in the country within the next decade. We are investing in the brand, equipment, technology, customer experience, and people necessary to pursue that goal.
You’ll help create the systems that future employees follow, with opportunities for your compensation, authority, and title to grow as your responsibilities and the company expand.
