Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials and heavy equipment to and from construction sites. This role requires a CDL license.
Duties
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, block, mortar and asphalt in mountainous terrain
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including a bobcat, skid steer and/or excavator
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, materials transported, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Review delivery ticket pre-haul instructions and perform accurately
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Skills
- CDL - Class B required, Class A preferred
- MVR meeting company and DOT standards
- Ability to pass drug screening
- Proficient in dump truck driving (manual transmission)
- Experience with heavy equipment operation
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment on construction sites.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with site managers
- Lifting of 50lbs minimum
