Corner Pantry in Rapid City, SD area are hiring for Cashiers for varying shifts at multiple locations.
We are looking for friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashiers to join our convenience store team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, can multitask in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
Main Duties
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Check identification for age-restricted purchases in accordance with company policies and local laws.
- Assist with inventory, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock.
- Prepare coffee and other self-service food and beverage areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Answer customer questions and resolve concerns courteously.
- Perform opening, closing, and other assigned store duties.
Qualifications
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.
