Location: Remote, serving clients throughout California
Position Type: Part-Time, 1099 Independent Contractor
Compensation: $35–$43 per hour
Schedule: Availability needed primarily Monday–Friday, 2:00–5:00 PM Pacific Time

We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our multidisciplinary telehealth practice. In this remote role, you will provide virtual speech and language therapy to children and adults across California under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

You will support clients with a range of communication needs, including speech and language disorders, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, AAC needs, feeding, and cognitive-communication challenges.

What You’ll Do

Provide individualized virtual speech and language therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Implement established treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
Deliver engaging, client-centered sessions, typically 30 minutes in length
Complete accurate, timely daily documentation in Fusion by Ensora Health
Communicate with supervising SLPs regarding client progress, clinical needs, scheduling, and care coordination
Collaborate with SLPs, Occupational Therapists, ABA providers, caregivers, and other members of the care team
Provide caregiver education, coaching, and home-program support as appropriate
Participate in supervision, team meetings, and continuing education meetings
Maintain HIPAA, ethical, professional, and documentation standards

Required Qualifications

Current California SLPA license in good standing
At least 2 years of pediatric speech therapy experience
Availability to provide services during agreed-upon hours, primarily Monday through Friday between 2:00–5:00 PM Pacific Time
Experience using telehealth platforms
Strong communication, organization, documentation, and time-management skills
Ability to independently manage scheduling and documentation responsibilities
Reliable high-speed internet, a computer with audio/video capability, and a private workspace appropriate for telehealth services

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience serving both pediatric and adult clients
Experience with AAC
Experience providing caregiver coaching and home programming
Prior telehealth experience
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Independent Contractor Information

This is a 1099 independent contractor position and does not include employee benefits. Contractors are responsible for their own federal and state tax obligations, professional licensure, computer equipment, internet service, and private telehealth workspace. Equipment and internet expenses are not reimbursed.
