Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support investment decisions and corporate strategy.
- Develop financial forecasts, analyzes, and operational metrics tracking to provide critical financial insights that will help drive business decisions.
- Perform variance analysis and identify trends to support the financial planning and analysis efforts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Research and analyze financial information to help the company mitigate risk, perform due diligence, and make informed decisions.
- Review and assess capital expenditure requests, ensuring they align with strategic plans and financial status.
- Analyze competitors, market trends, and industry changes to provide foresighted insights and recommendations.
- Monitor and evaluate financial and operating results daily against budgets and forecasts to more effectively support operational strategies.
- Participate in strategic planning, budget development, and financial forecasting.
- Implement and work with business intelligence tools or dashboard reports for effective decision-making processes.
- Prepare business case analyses and validate resource allocation across departments.
- Communicate financial concepts and results clearly to non-financial department heads to influence business strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, or a similar role with demonstrated proficiency.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling tools.
- Experience with SaaS and cloud-based business analytics platforms like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial securities regulations.
- Skilled at organizing tasks, managing time, and prioritizing projects in order to meet tight deadlines.
