Creve Coeur Family and Sedation Dentistry, the office of Dr. Brandon Kratz DDS, is currently seeking a part-time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial dental assessments and prepare patient for dental examinations.
  • Perform professional dental cleaning services including scaling, root planing, and polishing.
  • Apply preventive materials to the teeth such as fluoride.
  • Take dental x-rays and intraoral photos.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene strategies, including brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
  • Document and maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records.
  • Assess patient oral health conditions, review medical history and advise patients on oral health disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with dentist to plan for patient care and treatment.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant hygiene and infection control guidelines and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment consistent with health and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current Missouri license as a dental hygienist.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Strong working knowledge of dental healthcare safety regulations and the ability to work in compliance with these regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentist, and other staff members.
  • Must be friendly and patient-centric, always striving to provide the best patient experience.
  • Strong communication skills needed to communicate effectively with patients about their dental health and care plans.
  • Must be reliable, diligent, and capable of multitasking.
