Physical Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients to assess physical conditions, mobility limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and medical diagnoses.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions to improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Educate patients on injury prevention, recovery strategies, and home exercise programs.
- Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Use specialized equipment and technologies to assist with patient rehabilitation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants and other support staff.
- Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices, techniques, and regulations.
Physical Therapist Requirements:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and therapeutic practices.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring strength and endurance.
- Proficiency in using rehabilitation equipment and technology.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following ethical practices.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings or weekends, if required.
- Willingness to pursue continuing education to stay current with industry advancements.
