Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Expanded Function Dental Assistant (Full-Time) - $21-$23/hr – Monday-Thursday

Lawhead Family Dentistry is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Expanded Function Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and confident in performing expanded functions while delivering excellent patient care.

Pay:

$21 - $23 per hour (based of experience)

Schedule:

Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Enjoy a consistent schedule with no weekends

Location:

Muscatine, IA – In-person position

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during procedures
• Perform EF1 duties in accordance with state guidelines
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories
• Take dental radiographs
• Provide patient education and ensure a positive experience
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records
• Follow all infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Iowa EF1 certification minimum (required)
• Outgoing, friendly, and professional demeanor
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• X-ray certification (required)
