Our services include no cost transportation, and we operate without insurance or identification requirements, ensuring that all individuals can access our services.

Our Manchester, NH location is excited to announce a job opening for a Peer Support Specialist - Driver. This unique role blends the responsibilities of safe transportation and supportive peer interactions, serving our community members who are on their path to recovery and wellness. Located out of our Peer Support Agency in Manchester, this position is pivotal in ensuring that our members have reliable transportation to and from our Peer Support Agency. The role is designed to facilitate not just mobility but also foster a supportive environment for individuals in recovery.

This is a Part-Time position that requires the candidate to be physically present, as it is not a remote job. The scheduled working hours are Monday through Friday, split-shift from 8:30-10:30 AM for member pick-up, and then from 2:30-4:30 PM for their return. Compensation for this role is set at $18 per hour. This role generally consists of a 20-hour work week. We are seeking to fill this vacancy immediately, with the aim to bring on a candidate who is both caring and committed to the betterment of our community.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely transport members to and from the Manchester, NH Peer Support Agency (PSA) on a consistent weekday schedule.
  • Operate agency vehicles in a safe, lawful, and professional manner.
  • Conduct a visual vehicle inspection prior to each use and report any damage, safety concerns, or mechanical issues immediately.
  • Complete required passenger sign-in, mileage, and vehicle use logs accurately.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the vehicle.
  • Support a respectful, calm, recovery-oriented atmosphere during transport.
  • Routine vehicle safety checks, mileage and passenger documentation.
  • Prompt reporting of any concerns and responsible stewardship of the agency vehicle.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean and insurable driving record.
  • Consent to and pass a background screening
  • Complete NSCs Defensive Driving Course.
  • Reliable, punctual, and organized.
  • Able to maintain accurate documentation and follow agency procedures.
  • Strong judgment, communication, and professionalism.
  • Experience working in mental health / recovery is preferred. 
  • Willing and able to become certified as a Peer Support Specialist within 1-year of hire.
