Salary Range:  $19 - $26 hour

Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, surgery, implants, and extractions.
  • Prepare and organize instruments, materials, and treatment rooms for patient procedures.
  • Sterilize dental instruments and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Take digital X-rays and assist with other diagnostic procedures.
  • Record patient medical and dental histories accurately in electronic or paper records.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to ensure timely and efficient operations.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order materials as needed.
  • Provide a friendly and calming presence for patients, particularly those with dental anxiety.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and regulatory standards in the dental practice.

Dental Assistant Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dental assistant certification in Florida and Florida Radiology certificate 
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
  • Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization protocols.
  • Proficiency in using dental software and electronic health records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of patient care.
  • Current CPR certification and understanding of basic first aid.
  • Familiarity with dental radiology and X-ray equipment.
