Alternate Heating Systems is a family-owned manufacturer of high-efficiency heating equipment based in Harrisonville, Pennsylvania. For decades, we have built some of the most durable wood, coal, and alternative-fuel heating systems in North America.

Our story began when Jeff and Phyllis Gingerich purchased the company and started building heating systems in a converted dairy barn in south-central Pennsylvania. What began as a small shop has grown into a respected manufacturer serving customers across the United States, Canada, and beyond.
Today, the company continues as a family business, with the next generation working alongside the founders to carry forward the same values of quality, integrity, kindness, and efficiency.
