The Job

The Operations Lead is responsible for delivering the most efficient inventory flow processes through the Operations team, including inbound truck processing, stock space optimization and replenishment efficiencies to the sales floor. This role is also responsible for ensuring stock spaces are neat and organized, with a focus on creating a safe and risk-free environment for the team. The Operations Lead is key to driving team engagement, building rapport, and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.

What You'll Do

Guest

  • Coach the team to efficiently replenish stock to maintain visual presentation and planogram standards.
  • Embrace a guest-first mentality, ensuring we always prioritize the guest over a task.
  • Work alongside the team to understand how we can streamline workflow to free up time to dedicate to the guest experience.
  • Prioritize shipment and PO processing in line with key departments and bestsellers to ensure the right product is always available.

Team

  • Be an expert in processes and procedures to provide support and guidance to the wider team.
  • Provide team training on product knowledge to enable them to deliver the best guest experience.
  • Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to support a full understanding of how the team can continue to perform, or how they can improve to meet expectations. 
  • Regularly connect with the team to build rapport and gain a solid understanding of the people you lead.
  • Identify ways to boost team engagement and share these ideas with the leadership team. 
  • Highlight training needs across the team which can be addressed with available resources. 
  • Escalate employee concerns and feedback to senior leadership.

Store

  • Drive daily replenishment processes in line with best practice.
  • Ensure trucks are processed within productivity guidelines and prioritized effectively.
  • Own assigned areas of responsibility and make suggestions on how to streamline operations to become more effective.
  • Maintain stock organization systems and make recommendations to improve.
  • Ensure supplies are ordered proactively to provide seamless operation. 
  • Identify maintenance and repair needs across store and communicate to appropriate partners.
  • Ensure shipment validation is completed accurately to minimize shrink and inventory errors.

What You Have

  • 2+ years experience in an Operations supervisory role within a fast-paced premium retail or experience-based environment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, and bending, twisting, and standing for long periods of time.
  • Knowledge of POS and Inventory management systems a plus.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal ability.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to use commercial reporting to drive decision making.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Strong knowledge of inventory and shrink mitigation shortage and investigation.
  • Flexible availability in line with a Flagship Retail environment across days, evenings and weekends.
