The Role at a Glance
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator drives the operational heartbeat of our hiring process, partnering closely with hiring managers and the broader business to respond to business priorities and ensure that every candidate interaction is seamless, equitable, and reflective of the FAO experience from application through day one.
You’ll independently manage high-volume recruitment coordination, support hiring practices, and continuously improve the candidate journey, enabling confident, informed hiring decisions.
Creating the Magic
As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will:
- Screen & Advance Talent. Conduct initial resume reviews using defined criteria and sound judgment, ensuring that strong talent progresses efficiently through the pipeline.
- Conduct Interviews. Coordinate and facilitate virtual and in-person interviews, support feedback collection and interview calibration, while ensuring fair, consistent, and professional hiring decisions.
- Champion the Candidate Experience. Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, providing timely communication and a welcoming, polished experience that strengthens our employer brand.
- Drive Recruiting Operations & Data Integrity. Manage job postings, ATS workflows, reporting, and documentation with precision, ensuring accurate data, transparent processes, and informed hiring decisions.
- Support the Compensation & Offer Process. Conduct salary benchmarking and market research to guide competitive, equitable compensation recommendations and prepare verbal offers.
- Deliver and Transition Offers Seamlessly. Lead verbal offer conversations and partner closely with HR to ensure accurate documentation and a smooth transition into onboarding.
- Set Up Day One for Success. Coordinate new hire orientation logistics and pre-start communication so each new hire starts organized, informed, and ready to contribute.
- Protect Data & Uphold Fair Hiring Practices. Maintain strict confidentiality of candidate information, ensure compliance with applicable employment and data privacy regulations, and support consistent hiring practices across all stages of recruitment.
- Continuously Improve the Process. Identify bottlenecks in screening, interviewing, or onboarding and implement practical improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen compliance, and elevate the candidate journey.
- Collaborate Across the Business. Partner effectively with hiring managers and cross-functional teams, flexing to support the wider business as needed and showing up as a team player who adapts on the fly.

This role aligns with Level 3 (IC3) in our Career Framework and provides a strong foundation for progression into Senior Specialist roles (Level 4)
What you’ll bring
You don’t need to be perfect—just passionate
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, talent operations, or high-volume hiring environments.
- Experience screening resumes and coordinating structured interview processes.
- Confidence in managing virtual and in-person interview logistics independently.
- Experience using an ATS and maintaining accurate recruiting data.
- Familiarity with salary benchmarking or market research to support compensation discussions.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, including conducting verbal offer calls.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple searches and competing priorities.
- High level of discretion and understanding of employment compliance, data privacy, and equitable hiring practices.
Retail, hospitality, or high-touch customer experience is a plus — organization, judgment, and attitude matter most.
